Ian Murray

Ian’s 40+ years in consumer mortgages and seven as Area Manager for a national mortgage insurance firm have given him professional experience and insight matched by few others. Ian was the founding president of the Newfoundland and Labrador Lenders Association, serving for over 15 years. Ian’s community service includes serving as Chairperson for the Mount Pearl Frosty Festival, Build Chair for Cabot Habitat for Humanity and President of the Mount Pearl Chamber of Commerce. Ian has been awarded national recognition, by his professional peers:  awarded the Canadian Institute of Mortgage Brokers and Lenders (CIMBL) Atlantic Canada Volunteer of the Year, awarded the Canadian Association of Accredited Mortgage Professionals (CAAMP) Accredited Mortgage Professional of the Year, awarded the CAAMP Mortgage Firm of the Year and was also recently awarded the Canadian Mortgage Brokers Association Atlantic Canada (MBAAC) 2016 David MacVicar Memorial Mortgage Award for demonstration of 3 Pillars of Commitment, Professionalism and Leadership. Ian has served on the national Education Committee for the Canadian Association of Accredited Mortgage Professionals (formerly known as CIMBL) as well as the Ethics Review Board.

Ian’s professional and life experiences enable him to offer clients professional advice far exceeding the ability to simply arrange the best mortgage. Ian doesn’t just like mortgages, he has a passion to help others in getting the right deal.
